AMERICANA-RAMA

Backstage at the Across the Great Divide, a benefit concert at L.A.'s Ace Theater on behalf of the Americana Music Association and The Blues Foundation, the legendary Bob Weir joins fellow participants for a visionary photo op. "Man, your vibrations are, like, cosmically outtasite," proclaimed Association Exec Director Jed Hilly. "I'm, like, grooving to the pulsations of the inner mind, man." "That's awesome," Weir replied. "Can somebody get me a Pellegrino?

Weir performed several Grateful Dead classics, among other tunes, while other performers at the Marc Maron-hosted event included John Prine (whose latest album is stoking serious Grammy buzz), Lucinda Williams, Lee Ann Womack, Doyle Bramhall II and special guest Slash, among others.

Seen waiting for the mescaline to kick in are (l-r) Hilly, Blues Foundation Prexy/CEO Barbara Newman, Weir, bassist Tal Wilkenfeld and UpperWest Music Group's Greg Williamson and Nicole Rechter.
