U.K. CHARTS: BALL HITS A HOME RUN

Michael Ball has topped the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart with Coming Home to You (Decca)—his first #1 as a soloist in 27 years—as Lewis Capaldi enjoys a fifth week at the singles summit.

Coming Home to You is Ball’s first solo #1 since his self-titled debut in 1992 and his fourth chart-topping album in total; his two collaborations with Alfie Boe, Together and Together Again, peaked at #1 in 2016 and 2017.

Further down, following Richard Carpenter’s appearance on The One Show this week, Carpenters With the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra returns to the chart at #10, with more than 80% of sales coming from physical formats. The first album in 22 years from reunited ‘90s indie band Sleeper, The Modern Age (Gorsky), is new at #18.

RV & Headie One's mixtape Drillers x Trappers II (Relentless) is new at #21, Nav scores a second Top 40 album with Bad Habits (Universal) #26, and Jenny Lewis is in at #27 with her fifth solo album, On The Line (Warner Bros.).

On the Official Singles Chart, Capaldi’s “Someone You Loved” (Virgin EMI) records 7.8m streams to finish 11k combined sales ahead of the #2 track, “Giant” (Columbia) by Calvin Harris and Rag'n'Bone Man.

Tom Walker’s “Just You and I” (Relentless) breaks the Top 3 for the first time at #3, and this week’s highest new entry is “Fashion Week” (Warner Bros.) by British producer Steel Banglez f/AJ Tracey and MoStack at #7.

“Walk Me Home” (RCA) by P!nk rebounds three places to #9 following the release of its music video, and NSG f/Tion Wayne’s “Options” (Sony) also makes a comeback at #10.
