U.K. CHARTS: WEEK 2 AT #1 FOR BILLIE

Billie Eilish logs a second week atop the U.K. Official Albums Chart as Khalid’s Free Spirit (Right Hand/RCA) slides in at #2 in its first week. Lil Nas X has to settle for #2 on the singles chart.

Last week, when When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? (Interscope) hit #1, Eilish became the youngest female artist to have a #1 album, besting previous record-holder Joss Stone by two months. Stone’s album, Mind Body & Soul, was #1 for only one week so, theoretically, Eilish has set yet another record.

Mike + The MechanicsOut Of The Blue (BMG) debuts at #7, claiming the highest physical sales of the week. Circa Waves’ third album What’s It Like Over There? (Prolifica) lands at #10; it’s their second Top 10 album.

YG/Interscope’s Blackpink landed at #40 with Kill This Love making it the only non-BTS K-pop album to reach the Top 40.

Lewis Capaldi’s “Someone You Loved” (Virgin EMI) logged 69,000 combined sales this week, including 8.16 million streams, to score a seventh week at the top Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” (Columbia)got on its horse and rose 37 slots to #2 on the heels of the “Yeehaw Challenge” meme.

Elsewhere, Meduza f/Goodboys’ “Piece of Your Heart” (Polydor) is up five slots to #5 and Khalid's “Talk” is up seven to a new peak of #9. His “My Bad” is up 27 slots to #32.

Ariana Grande & Victoria Monet's “Monopoly” made a 17-place climb to # 23, and Jax Jones f/Martin Solveig & Madison Beer’s “All Day And Night” (Polydor) shot up 16 places to #25.
