PANDORA’S SIZZLING LIST SUMMER FAVORITES

While summer is simmering to an end, Pandora has just released its Top 10 most streamed songs of the season. Following the predictions in May, it’s no surprise that Columbia’s Lil Nas X was crowned with the song of the summer for “Old Town Road,” especially after his record-breaking 19 weeks as #1 song in the land.

Khalid’s “Talk” and Lewis Capaldi’s breakthrough track “Someone You Loved” dominate the second and third spot, while Lizzo’s “Truth Hurts,” and Billie Eilish’s “bad guy” round out the Top 5.

"For so long pop music looked and felt a specific way. However, in today's landscape, fans are in control. They're clamoring for artists who are shattering stereotypes of what a popstar should look or sound like and instead celebrating music that moves and connects," says Tiana Lewis, Pandora’s Head of Pop and R&B Programming.

Pandora’s VP of Content and Programming Alex White adds, “Great songs that stray from popular music trends can clearly break through and dominate the important summer season.” Other tracks to have made the list include J. Cole’s “MIDDLE CHILD,” Luke Combs’ “Beer Never Broke My Heart,” and DaBaby’s lead single “Suge” from his debut album, among others.
