DISNEY+ SERVES THE BEATLES FOR THANKSGIVING

Peter Jackson’s documentary on The Beatles’ final months as a band has been expanded into a three-day Thanksgiving television event.

Disney+ will stream The Beatles: Get Back from 11/25 to 11/27 in three two-hour episodes. Disney initially planned a theatrical release for September 2020.

Jackson, who has been working on the Let It Be-era project for three years, said, “It is the story of human frailties and of a divine partnership. It is a detailed account of the creative process, with the crafting of iconic songs under pressure, set amid the social climate of early 1969. But it’s not nostalgia—it’s raw, honest and human. Over six hours, you’ll get to know The Beatles with an intimacy that you never thought possible.”

Will we have finished the last piece of the pumpkin pie by the time the lads are ushered off the Apple offices rooftop?
