SIR LUCIAN'S MESSAGE TO THE TROOPS ON JUBELIRER APPOINTMENT

UMG overlord Sir Lucian Grainge sent the following message companywide to mark Michelle Jubelirer's promotion to the top position at Capitol Music Group.

Dear Colleagues,

I'm very pleased to share with you the news that Michelle Jubelirer has been promoted to Chair and CEO of Capitol Music Group, effective immediately.

Michelle has made so many exceptional contributions since joining the company in 2013, shortly after we acquired EMI and Capitol. And, with her ascension to the top post at Capitol Music Group, Michelle becomes the first woman to lead the company in its 80-year history.

Further, Michelle's appointment underscores our commitment to continuing to grow Capitol Music Group as a freestanding label group within our U.S. and global operations. Our success as an organization is derived from our entrepreneurial structure and belief that having executives with differing creative visions and building unique cultures will serve to attract the widest range of the world's most talented artists and enable us to most effectively market their music and great catalogs to fans worldwide.
