Her Loss is iTunes and Apple Music’s gain: The Drake & 21 Savage collaboration is running the table in sales and streams this Flipover Friday.
Her Loss (OVO/Republic) opens at #1 at iTunes and Apple Music albums; the clean version is #6 on the streaming side. Twelve of the Top 13 songs at Apple Music are from Her Loss, led by “Rich Flex” at #1 and followed by “Major Distribution,” “On BS” and “BackOutsideBoyz.”
The third album from JOJI, Smithereens (88rising/Warner), is the only other new arrival to open in the Top 10 on both charts: It’s #4 in sales and #9 in streams.
Back at iTunes, Teddy Swims’ six-song EP Sleep Is Exhausting (SWIMS/Warner) is #3; Dark Sun (Spinefarm) from Orange County hardcore act Dayseeker is #5; and Alicia Keys’ first Christmas album, Santa Baby (Alicia Keys Records), is #6. The fifth album from the Swedish duo First Aid Kit, Palomino (Columbia), kicks up at #7; Lecrae’s Church Clothes 4 (Reach) is dressed for #8; Phoenix’s seventh album, Alpha Zulu (LOYAUTE/Glassnote), rises to #9; and a Barbra Streisand nightclub recording from 60 years ago, Live at the Bon Soir (Columbia), debuts at #10.
Two new arrivals land in the Top 10 at iTunes songs: Selena Gomez’s “My Mind & Me” (Interscope) is #4 and P!nk’s “Never Gonna Not Dance Again” (RCA) steps in at #7.
