FLIPOVER FRIDAY: NEW ARRIVALS AT iTUNES & APPLE MUSIC

While you were busy tallying the number of cheesesteaks and racks of ribs you’ll need for Sunday, three new arrivals, all rock bands, rushed the top of the iTunes chart. The songs Top 10 has a trio of new arrivals, too, this Flipover Friday.

Paramore’s sixth album, This is Why (Atlantic), is the top new arrival at iTunes—it’s #1—and Apple Music, where it’s #20. Sweden’s In Flames follows with Foregone (Nuclear Blast) at #2, and The Jaws of Life (Fearless) by hardcore act Pierce the Veil lands at #3 and is Top 50 at Apple Music.

Chase Rice’s sixth studio album, I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go to Hell (Dack Janiels/Broken Bow), lassos #4. Jessie Murph’s debut set, drowning (Columbia), comes up for air at #6.

A collection of Beatles songs interpreted by jazz pianist Brad Mehldau, Your Mother Should Know (Nonesuch), takes a magical mystery tour to #8. Masayoshi Soken’s score for Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker (Square Enix) wins the battle for #9 and Mariah Carey’s It’s a Wrap EP (Def Jam), which contains four versions of 2009's “It’s a Wrap,” puts a bow on #10.

Three songs from upcoming releases enter the Top 10 at iTunes today: Linkin Park’s “Lost” (Warner), a demo that will appear on the 20th anniversary edition of Meteora, is #3, Luke Combs’ “Love You Anyway” (River House/Columbia Nashville) opens at #4 and Depeche Mode’s “Ghosts Again” (Columbia) scares up #9.
