U.K. MIDWEEKS: BILLIE EYEING #1

Billie Eilish is sailing toward a #1 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart with When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? (Polydor), outselling her closest competitor 3:1 at midweek stage. She’s also got the highest new singles entry with “Bad Guy” starting at #3.

Billie’s highest singles position in Blighty so far is the #7 she reached with “Bury a Friend” in February—it has risen 14 places to #6 today—while her Don’t Smile at Me EP hit #12 in 2018.

Tom Walker is #2 today with What a Time To Be Alive (Relentless) rising from #4, while The Greatest Showman (Atlantic) stays at #3, George Ezra’s Staying at Tamara’s (Columbia) is at #4 and Jack Savoretti’s Singing to Strangers (BMG) has dropped to #5.

Other new entries include Devin Townsend’s Empath (InsideOutMusic) at #14 and Unkle’s sixth studio album, The Road: Part II (Lost Highway) (Songs for the Def), at #17.

On the Official Singles Chart, Lewis Capaldi is on course for a fourth week at #1 with “Someone You Loved” (Virgin EMI). “Bad Guy” and “Bury a Friend” are two of three Eilish tracks inside the Top 20; “Wish You Were Gay” is #16.

Wiley f/Stefflon Don and Sean Paul's “Boasty" (BMG) is up one place to #10, and production trio Meduza f/Goodboys “Piece Of Your Heart” (Polydor) is on the cusp of a Top 10 at #11.

Westlife's new single, “Better Man” (Virgin EMI), co-written by Ed Sheeran, is the second highest new entry at #12.
