ATLANTIC UNVEILS NEW LEADERSHIP STRUCTURE

Following significant layoffs last week, Atlantic Music Group has revealed its new leadership structure under CEO Elliot Grainge (pictured), who will begin his tenure on 10/1.

October 1 is also the departure date for CEO Julie Greenwald.

Atlantic Records' updated team will include President, West Coast Kevin Weaver, President of Hip-Hop, R&B and Global Music Lanre Gaba, EVPs and co-heads of A&R, Pop & Rock Brandon Davis and Jeff Levin, EVP, Head of Marketing, Pop & Rock Marisa Aron, EVP, Head of A&R, Hip-Hop, R&B and Global Music Lu Mota and EVP, Head of Marketing, Hip-Hop, R&B and Global Music Marsha St. Hubert.

300 Entertainment will be run by co-presidents Rayna Bass and Selim Bouab, while Grainge's 10K Projects, which will operate within AMG as a Warner Music Group-controlled standalone venture, has promoted Nicholas Ziangas and Molly McLachlan to co-presidents.

In an effort to "combine the strengths and key functions" of Atlantic, 300 and Elektra, AMG will consolidate creative, legal/business affairs, promotion, press and media strategy, digital marketing and analytics, sales and streaming, A&R research and administration and marketing operations.

Craig Kallman has been named Chief Music Officer at AMG, where he will "bring his wealth of expertise to artists and projects across the group, while enabling him to mentor the next generation of executives," per a statement.

Zach Friedman will serve as COO, while Tony Talamo has been named GM. They both joined 10K Projects in 2018. Erica Bellarosa is General Counsel, and former Republic/Spotify exec Dave Rocco will be President of Creative.

Lastly, Elektra President Gregg Nadel has been appointed to a new role in WMG's Recorded Music division, with further details to be announced.

"We have a plan to build on the extraordinary achievements of the last 20 years, honor the independent DNA of our labels and collaborate with artists to pioneer a future filled with opportunity," Grainge said. "To all our artists, managers, and partners, we are committed to a single principle—maximum impact for original artists. We’re looking forward to doing big, bold, brave things together.”

Added WMG CEO Robert Kyncl, "AMG will be lean, agile, fiercely creative and deeply passionate about artists and their fans. We’re opening an exciting new chapter in the story of an iconic label. Elliot’s thoughtfully chosen a team that combines a wealth of experience, a diversity of expertise and a commitment to excellence.”
